HOW DO I APPLY? The process begins with completing the application and submitting required enrollment fees. The application is reviewed and an interview appointment with the director of admissions is scheduled.
IS GRACE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL ACCREDITED? GCS is a nondenominational Christian school and is registered as a non-public school. In our first year, GCS will be accredited through the Florida Council of Private Schools (FCPS). GCS is already a registered member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). GCS will also begin the accreditation process with Christian Schools International (CSI) this year. As an accredited school, GCS graduates gain acceptance to the public and private colleges of their choice.
WHAT CURRICULUM DO YOU USE? Grace Christian Schools uses a blend of multiple curriculums. Using Christian curriculum that presents material from a Biblical worldview is of utmost importance to the board and administration at GCS. Also important is an academically challenging curriculum that ensures the highest level of learning. Careful consideration is made in choosing quality curriculum without compromising our Christian philosophy of education.
WHAT ARE YOUR SCHOOL HOURS? Preschool (K4): 8:15 am – 12:00 pm (Half Day)/2:40 pm (Full Day)
Elementary School (Kindergarten – 5th Grade) 8:15 am – 2:40 pm
Upper School (6th – 12th Grade) 8:15 am – 3:00 pm
DO YOU PROVIDE BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE? Before and After Care is open every school day beginning at 7:45 am and running until 6:00 pm. Before-care is a free service offered to our families. After-care is a fee-based service that can be paid for on a monthly or as-needed basis.
DO THE STUDENTS WEAR UNIFORMS? GCS will have a campus wear policy in place of uniforms for the initial year. This will consist of navy blue or khaki uniform bottoms and any solid color school uniform polo style shirt. All school attire is expected to conform to the modesty policy in the handbook.
DO YOU HAVE A LUNCH PROGRAM? For the first year, students will bring sack lunches to school. No hot lunch option will be provided. We are exploring the possibility of doing pizza on Fridays.
DO YOU HAVE AN ATHLETIC PROGRAM? Yes, our athletic director will determine the sports that will be offered based on student interest. The athletic program at Grace Christian School exists to provide its student-athletes the opportunity and competitive environment to use their God given athletic talents to glorify Jesus Christ.
